Timber West logging of second growth forests in the Muir Creek watershed. This logging is contentious at this time due to the CRD's interest in preserving the whole watershed as a park. The water you see along the bottom is where they have ignored falling boundaries andΒ logged straight through a stream. Muir Creek is one of only three steelhead spawning grounds on the southwest corner of Vancouver Island. Logging co-ordinates: 48.40296, -123.86794
