This was the view of Big Lonely Doug's shadow projected onto the surrounding clearcut shot from the canopy of the tree itself. Throughout the day, Doug's shadow rotated across the clearcut like the hand on a clock. Many metaphors could be made with regards to what little time we have left to save our endangered ancient forests.
